Our Patron Saint

The patron saint of our school is Saint Joseph.  Saint Joseph is the husband of Mary, mother of Jesus and the earthly father of Jesus.  Joseph is sometimes called the foster father of Jesus.  In the bible, there are no spoken words of Joseph.  The bible tells us that Joseph took excellent care of his family, even during difficult times and that we worked very hard in his job as a carpenter. Joseph trusted in God when he heard that God wanted him to marry Mary and bring up the son Jesus. Joseph is a wonderful example to us all of the quiet, kind, care for others which we can show and of the importance of working hard. We celebrate the feast of St Joseph in March anodals in May with Mass, celebration of the word in school and celebrations with our parish community.

Our CMAT Patron Saint

The patron saint of our Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is Saint Gabriel the Archangel.

Our trust is a newly formed family of 63 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Birmingham, part of a wider community of MACs united in one mission:

Forming pilgrims of hope with kind hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for justice.

Rooted in the witness of St Gabriel the Archangel, God’s messenger of Good News, we share his call to bring hope, courage and clarity to the children and families of our community.

Our House Saints

All of our children are a member of a house team and know the lives and example of their house saint.

St Andrew, St David, St George and St Patrick are an example to us all.

Our Class Saints

Each class learns more about the life and example of a saint to help them to live a more saintly life. Our class saints set us the example of how we can follow God's teachings to live out our Catholic Social Teaching Principles.  Children learn about their class saint throughout the year but especially near their feast day, when children plan and lead a time of prayer for their class. Our families are warmly invited to join us for these lovely celebrations and we are always grateful to our families for their attendance.
