Bullying

The children and staff of St Joseph's know how bad bullying can make you feel.  Bullying is never OK and it is not tolerated in our school.  At St Joseph's, we

Bullying is:

  • Deliberately hurtful - physically or emotionally
  • Repeated or ongoing
  • Someone uses their power against you

Bullying is not:

  • Accidental
  • An argument with a friend

To find out more, please read our Children's Anti Bullying Policy which was written by our School Council.  You can find it at the bottom of this page.

Check out the picture below to help you decide if something is bullying.

If you, or someone you know is being bullied, you or they must ask for help.  You can tell a trusted adult at home or any adult at school.  Sometimes it can be difficult to find the words.  If you would prefer to tell someone remotely, you can use the link in the SHARP System below.  The SHARP system also gives you lots of useful links, help and advice.  Please use it if you need to.
